Non-Immigrant B Visa
The visa you need to work in Thailand. Valid for 90 days initially, then extendable to 1 year. Your Thai employer applies on your behalf. You’ll need a job offer letter, company registration documents, and a passport valid for at least 6 months. We prepare the full application package.
Work Permit
Separate from the visa and equally mandatory. You must apply within 30 days of your visa being issued. Your company needs a 4:1 ratio of Thai to foreign employees, 2 million THB in registered capital per work permit, and must pay the foreign employee at least the minimum monthly salary set for their nationality (see the table below). We handle the Department of Employment application.
1-Year Extension
Your initial Non-B visa lasts 90 days. To stay longer, you apply for a 1-year extension at Immigration, 30 days before it expires. You need continued employment, a valid work permit, and proof that your company is paying taxes and social security. We prepare the package and book the appointment.
Work Permit Renewal
Work permits expire annually. Renewal must be filed before expiration with updated employment details and company financials. We track your expiration dates and start the renewal process automatically.
Re-Entry Permit
Leave Thailand without a re-entry permit and your visa is cancelled. A multiple re-entry permit costs 3,800 THB in government fee, plus our service fee of 5,000 THB, and covers unlimited trips for the duration of your visa. We process this proactively when we handle your visa extension.
90-Day Report
Every foreigner in Thailand must report their address to Immigration every 90 days. Miss it and you pay a 2,000 THB fine. We file online or in person on your behalf. You don’t need to visit Immigration.
TM.30
Your landlord or company (as the property occupier) must report your address to Immigration within 24 hours of each time you enter Thailand. We file TM.30 on your behalf for your foreign employees.
Minimum Salary by Nationality
To get a 1-year Non-B extension for work with a Thai company, the foreign employee must earn at least the monthly salary Immigration sets for their nationality:
| Nationality | Minimum salary per month |
|---|---|
| Europe (except Russia), Australasia, Canada, Japan, United States | 50,000 THB |
| South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong | 45,000 THB |
| Other countries in Asia, South America, Central America, Mexico, Eastern Europe, Russia, South Africa | 35,000 THB |
| Africa (except South Africa), Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam | 25,000 THB |
Different rules apply to BOI-promoted companies, foreigners married to a Thai national, and some other cases. Ask us about yours.
