Thailand’s New Minimum Wage Structure – Effective January 1, 2025 Thailand has announced an updated minimum wage structure, bringing significant changes for both workers and businesses. This adjustment reflects the government’s commitment to reducing cost-of-living disparities and promoting economic equity while maintaining business competitiveness. Key Highlights of the New Minimum Wage Daily wage rates range from 337 THB to 400 THB, depending on the region: 400 THB/Day – High-cost economic hubs: Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Phuket, Rayong, and Koh Samui (Surat Thani). 380 THB/Day – Regional centers: Muang District (Chiang Mai) and Hat Yai District (Songkhla). 372 THB/Day – Bangkok Metropolitan Region: Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon. 337 THB/Day – Southernmost provinces: Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala. This is the first major wage adjustment since 2022 and aims to address inflation and rising living costs.
